New Year, New Decade

New Year’s Eve 2018, I was in the ER with one of my sisters who had become very ill and it would take her several months to recover and, fortunately, she did. I remember the snow/freezing rain that came through that evening as 2018 was ending. I also left a position I had been at for five years and was trying to balance being a caregiver to my sister, elderly mother and beginning a new job and, of course, squeezing in some writing time. As this year comes to an end and although 2019 didn’t start off very well for my family and me, I learned to appreciate the precious things in life like family, friends and good work relationships. 2019 wasn’t always easy but it was a good year too because Inanna Publications brought my novel “The Allspice Bath” into the world. Warmest thanks to my extraordinary editor Luciana Ricciutelli, my amazing publicist Renée Knapp, the talented designer Val Fullard and the wonderful team at Inanna Publications for believing in my work and guiding this book into publication.
